Fitting is an essential skill for every stitcher's toolbox. Ever spent hours of excitement making the "perfect" pattern with your favorite fabric only to run into disappointment when it doesn't fit? This fitting and intermediate garment-making course is one of the most empowering courses we offer--we give you the skills to have control over the outcome of your patterns. You'll learn how to make a fit sample, make adjustments and transfer those adjustments to your pattern. We also take you to the next level in terms of construction by teaching the tricks of the trade you need to walk away with a beautiful zippered & lined dress. You may choose from an array of styles for this course. Patterns in misses and plus size are offered. 

Skills learned:
- Creating a muslin fit sample
- Fit adjustments
- Transferring fit adjustments to pattern
- Sewing darts and panels to create fit and dimension
- Incorporating a full or partial lining 
- Set-in sleeves 
- Invisible zipper installation

- Gathering
- Finishing techniques ex. top stitching, understitching, handstitching

Skill Level: Intermediate. You have made a garment and/or are familiar with sewing patterns. You feel comfortable with sewing curves and finishing seams.

Pattern and materials not included. A supply list will be sent to you ahead of time.
